Recently John Terry has not been in the spotlight with good behavior and it has made things a bit rocky for him. When the Football Association Cup semi-finals happened he was very proud to show everyone his armband stating that he was captain. Not only that John Terry helped with leading the team into game.
They tied with Aston Villa after his goal against Stoke. Aston Villa is known for beating Reading in a 4-2 game because John Carew did a hattrick.
Ever since the Bridgegate affair Terry has been a target with getting opposition from the fans because he lost his captaincy with what all happened. He said that during the three lions set up he did not have all the back up that was needed. The Blues really supported him last night and you could see it in the way he played that it made a difference. Terry says that it has been a very good week.
Ray Wilkins who is Chelsea's assistant boss feels that Terry is one of those captains that is exceptional. He has a fashion about him that is fantastic and he hopes that all of the abuse that Terry is getting soon stops.
