The going was good to firm, as last night's cold temperatures seemed to have made the ground harder. The big race of the day, the Musidora Stakes, was won by unbeaten filly Aviate, after coming from behind in what was said to be a thrilling finale. The 11-4 shot was ridden by Eddie Ahern.
